A mediterranean passion burns like a flame at the heart of the Southstorm, as the modern cultures of classical antiquity add their fire to the brotherhood of Jomsborg. The Southstorm commander, Lorenzo Tonetto from Italy, has harnessed the energies of fighting groups around Italy, Spain France and Switzerland to create another unique part of Jomsborg. Flamboyant warriors, they are solid force on the battlefield and are far-ranging travellers in the modern Viking world.

Their primary interest is in the western style of fighting, but they are also well-known in eastern style battles and have an interest in Huscarl. They also have skilled craftspeople and have wide experience of public shows, demonstrations and filmwork. An enthusiasm for the Viking Age is matched by a respect for the food and wine of their own ancient cultures. A gathering of the Southstorm is always a celebration, but underlying this is a respect for brotherhood that runs deep, strong in the face of adversity.
