The oldest parts of Jomsborg are to be found in the Weststorm, as well as some of the most far-flung groups in the modern Viking world. Inspired by the Viking Age, they are bound by a strong sense of family that unites them as a 21st century community. The Stormleader Carl Edmundson from England and his second-in-command Aaron Nilsson from Sweden lead groups from Sweden, Germany, Poland, Australia and New Zealand. The ethos of Weststorm encourages freedom of the individual and a relaxed approach to events, but at the same time promotes regular gatherings and international training sessions, so that the Weststorm can stand strong as one united force.

To be part of Weststorm is to be part of a team and a brotherhood.

The Weststorm has also had a long association with living history in reconstructed Viking museums, as well as filmwork, fighting demonstrations and corporate events. The Weststorm trains western style fighting, eastern and Huscarl and have some of the most widely-travelled modern Vikings in their ranks.
